Intelligent operations: AI as decision support, not decision maker

Where the authority lives
Every operations AI project makes one decision that outweighs the rest: does the system act, or does it propose? Full autonomy demos beautifully and fails expensively: one bad automated decision at a customer touchpoint costs more trust than a quarter of good ones earned. Why restraint wins
Teams trust systems they can override, so they actually use them; usage generates the record that shows where more autonomy is safe; autonomy expands exactly as fast as the evidence supports.
